Granite Rose is owned and operated by Laura Carpenter. The business began like many others - based on a real-life need.

This is her story:

"A friend was telling me about the difficulty she was having with her elderly parents. They were beginning to have trouble with basic needs, including getting their bills paid, and dealing with issues that were once routine.

I was in-between jobs so I offered to put my accounting and legal training to work for them. Within weeks a second family called and asked for help with their parents. I was very quickly working full-time applying skills I developed at large accounting firms, to the benefit of regular people.

Many of those people had grown children with busy professional careers that left them little time to deal with their routine financial obligations, sometimes impacting their credit.

This business is a service that requires attention to detail and a heart for people. I love working at a local level and helping people deal with chores they just don't enjoy. Warm regards, Laura "
